“Breath, Stretch, Connect” was the spirit of the morning as over 5,700 participants gathered at the iconic grounds of Chulalongkorn University to celebrate the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY), organized by the Embassy of India in Bangkok.

This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” echoed through a powerful display of collective harmony and mindfulness. The event also marked the culmination of 10 years of IDY celebrations, with over 30 yoga events held across Thailand in the past 100 days.

Participants from all walks of life performed the Common Yoga Protocol in unison, showcasing yoga’s growing global relevance as a tool for physical, mental, and environmental well-being.
Ambassador Nagesh Singh, in his welcome remarks, emphasized yoga’s role in unity and sustainability. The celebration was further honored by the presence of Bangkok Governor Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt and Chulalongkorn University President Dr. Wilert Puriwat, who highlighted the rising popularity of yoga in Thailand and its role in bringing the people of India and Thailand even closer.
The Embassy of India, together with its partners and local supporters, expresses sincere gratitude to all who joined and helped make IDY 2025 Bangkok a resounding success and a vibrant symbol of peace, health, and international friendship.
