As part of the lead-up to the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) – 2025, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), Embassy of India, Bangkok, organized a ‘Yoga Session’ at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Bangkok on the afternoon of Wednesday, 28 May 2025.

The session was led by certified yoga instructor Ms. Vishakha Rai, who guided the participants through foundational yoga practices aimed at enhancing physical fitness, concentration, and inner calm.
A total of 60 students and teachers from GIIS participated with great enthusiasm, embracing the values of discipline, mindfulness, and well-being that yoga promotes. This event marks another successful initiative by SVCC in its ongoing series of yoga outreach programs ahead of the grand celebration of International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2025 at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.
The Embassy of India and SVCC continue to promote yoga as a bridge of wellness and cultural connection between India and Thailand.
